Ultimate Staffing Highlighted as Top 10 Workplace in the Nation for Workplace Effectiveness



October 3, 2014 – Ultimate Staffing Services, a specialized business line of Roth Staffing Companies, has been named a top 10 employer in the United States for workplace effectiveness and flexibility.  When Work Works, a project of the Families and Work Institute (FWI), partnered with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to honor Ultimate Staffing for developing a culture of coworker engagement and implementing programs that enable workplace effectiveness and flexibility.

When Work Works specifically called attention to Ultimate Staffing’s 9/80 Flex Schedule that enables coworkers to work 9 longer days in two weeks and have every other Friday off work – the first and only flexible schedule offered in the staffing industry to date.  Innovative practices like “Shout Outs,” companywide computer pop-ups that offer spontaneous recognition for coworkers fulfilling the company Purpose and creating remarkable experiences, was another Ultimate Staffing workplace engagement program highlighted by the When Work Works program.

The When Work Works Award (formerly known as the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility) is unique for its demanding, two-step selection process that assesses employers based upon seven components: autonomy, work-life fit, opportunities for learning, supervisor support for work success, satisfaction with earning, benefits and opportunities for advancement, and a culture of trust.

Ultimate Staffing earned recognition as a “top 10 worksite” in the United States out of nearly 300 recognized workplaces across 42 different states and the District of Columbia, and a variety of industries from finance to healthcare.  Ultimate Staffing also earned the Alfred P. Sloan Award in 2013.
